Feature/Teen Comedy
Ezra is a high school student determined to make his life extraordinary. And although he’s a geek/nerd, Ezra runs for class president. On the day of the debate between candidates, chaos ensues. Ezra locks himself in a bathroom and he inexplicably sprays pastrami, hundreds of pieces of bread and gallons of mustard around. After being suspended from school, Ezra’s Grandma reveals that they share the “food power”: an ability to make edible items appear in their hands. Ezra must now decide whether he will reject the gift he has inherited or build upon his family's legacy and become...Food Boy! The star of this film, Lucas Grabeel, is also the popular star of the film, "High School Musical." His TV credits include "Smallville," "Veronica Mars," & "Boston Legal."
Drama/Short
Filmed in Savannah, GA, a city textured with ghosts, nostalgia and Spanish moss, this dreamlike story focuses on a young woman who meets a mysterious older woman in a park. She discovers that the woman is the key to her past and to the mystery of her future.
Feature Documentary/Peace
Beginning in March 2003, Iraqi taxi-driver Fadil Kadom's video diary includes his family's preparations for war, the days of bombs and missiles, and Baghdad's ultimate fall. Kadom's camera unmasks the horrors of Saddam's torture houses and mass graves, and reveals the mounting fear as Iraqi streets turn increasingly deadly with the horrific explosion of insurgent and sectarian violence. NBC News cameraman, Craig White, embedded with the US Army, brings the war into focus, live - from combat to the disintegration of Iraqi civil society. Emotional and graphic scenes include the death of his NBC colleague, correspondent David Bloom, and the ambush at Objective Curly. 'Baghdad Diary' is Fadil Kadom's and Craig White's story, and a cautionary tale of war's human toll.
Feature Documentary/Gay/Lesbian/Health/Women's
The moving and inspirational story of Boulder, Colorado’s champion triathlete and marathon runner, Diane Israel, whose collapse from extreme physical strain brings her celebrated career to an abrupt end. ‘Beauty Mark’ chronicles Diane's quest to understand the personal and cultural forces that propelled her to seek physical perfection at any cost, and sets out on a journey to explore the cultural influences that shape our perception of beauty.
Comedy/Featured/Foreign/Short/Women's
A sassy young female executive has a deep desire for a boyfriend who will be honest, true, faithful, passionate, new and exciting, deep, affectionate, funny, smart, caring, sensitive, ambitious, loyal…and very hot. Her freshly brewed latte delivers all these admiral qualities, but can a woman and a take-out cup of coffee have a meaningful and long-lasting relationship?
For/By Kids/Short
When a new girl in high school mixes with the wrong crowd, she attends a party where she is drugged and raped. A witness tries to set things right.
Dark Comedy/Feature
Buster spends all his spare time provoking strangers into fights, then refusing to defend himself as they pummel him 'til they grow bored. The only one close to him is his brother Scott, who himself is trying to get his life together. Buster tries in vain to keep Scott next to him in his carefree land of non-tax-paying-abusers, knowing he'll lose him sooner or later to Scott’s beautiful and determined girlfriend. Buster can only beat her at screwing up, and does so in a way that's very hard for Scott to ignore.
Animation/For/By Kids/Short
In quantum physics, there is no such thing as negative space. This animated short inevitably propels a character’s journey into fields of energized micro and macro space, in a mind-expanding reverie touching on current philosophic preoccupations, cosmic homesickness, and lyrical emotions.
